I've Got Your Number | Book Review

Hi all.
I hope you are in a good health.
I have been super busy but still want to post a review on this one book I just read it tho. I swear this book is a fun read and super cute!!!

Sophie Kinsella is one of my favourite authors. I like her sense of humours, it had me laughing tho.
The main character is Poppy who has lost her engagement ring. The story gets interesting when Poppy's phone is stolen whilst she is on her hunt for the ring. I couldnt put the book down when Poppy meets Sam, an attractive businessman, they get to know each other and things start happening between them. I really really liked Sam's character. OMGGG! They are so cute together! Yet Poppy is engaged to Magnus.

I loved this book and I really enjoyed it. It would be great if it is a book-to-movie adaptation. Btw, I would give 4.5/5 for this book and I would recommend this book to those who like something hilarious with little light romance.

Till then.

Period Pain | Girls Talk

I dont have period cramps/pain every month but I will have it once in a while - all the uncomfortable pressure and cramps for hours or the whole day.
Btw, I am writing this entry after had the moment of period pain and cramps. So much pain I almost throw up. Alhamdulillah, I feel much better now. Much much better! And I hope this painful part is finally over.

I hope I could help you a little bit going through your period pain so here are some of the things that I do to deal with period pains (not sure if it works on you but it did on me):

1. Massage the lower abdomen and pelvic regions to help release pressure to the pain (or if you are lucky, someone else can do it for you).
P.s. I do this while reading Surah Al-Fatihah

2. Drink warm water. Btw, I heard that girls on period need to stay away from carbonated drinks because it will just worsen the cramps. I am not sure, I need to clarify this with doctor but got no chances yet.

3. Take pain killers (this gonna be my last choice - just when I got that extreme period pain and cant stand it)

If you experience extreme pain and cramps during your period. Please go see a doctor. Do not listen to people who say that it is normal to have that such pain. If you experience severe pain, there might be something wrong. Just go see a doctor.

Btw, if you have other things that help you going through period pains, do tell me in the comment section. It might be useful to me next time.

Take care girls!
Till then.

Job Hunting Reality

Salam and Hi all.

To be honest I dont even know how to start but I will try.

So since friends and I just finished our degree (Alhamdulillah) and most of us are desperately seeking for a secure job, apply vacancies here and there, been going for interviews. One of my friends say she is feeling so down. I feel so sorry. I don't know how to help (I would if I could) but pray for her and give her some positive vibes.

And looking at them hunting a job makes me realized that it is really hard. All the struggles are actually true. Yes yes, there are job vacancies but:

1. They require you to speak Mandarin (if I had known I would have learned Mandarin)

2. They require you to have at least 2 years of working experience. Like we are just graduated with just 6 months internship experience. Is it consider as working experience? I am not sure.

3. Yes. There are tons of jobs fresh graduate can work but will not be paid for their qualification. (Some people say, it is okay as long as you got a job - "DONT BE SO PICKY!". Okay its your opinion so there is no right or wrong but lets be realistic, it is not just about getting a job, it is also about being able to survive. We are living in a country which the cost of living is mad expensive!)

4. Scam job vacancies. So please do background check of that company/job.

(Feel free to add some more)

To everyone who is jobless, had spend all night working on job applications and feeling down because you got rejected. Do not give up! You are stronger that you know and you will get the job soon. Just keep working at it. I wish you all the best.

Put trust in Him.

P.s. When you are in a hardship you will find out who is being there and who is not. You will learn a lesson.

Breathe | Book Review

Hi peeps.

Breathe written by Dr. Beni who is a cardiologist at National Heart Institute, Kuala Lumpur. You might know him since he is quite famous online, I guess.

Written on the back of the book:

Dr. Adam is a cardiologist who knows how to help others. The only thing he can\t fix himself. When a heart attack threatens his life, Adam is given a chance to look at his past to rediscover the friendship and the love he lost. In this darkest hours, friends and strangers are racing against time to save him. Yet, the key to survival and future might lie in his past. All Adam wants is a second chance. And, time is running out...

Frankly speaking, this is my first ever medical novel I have read all my life. It takes me almost fours days to finish reading the entire novel (Well time constraint,  quite busy with life things). And I must say. it is beautiful written with all the plot twists and flashbacks. Not once I felt bored reading this book and always wonder what will happen next, will he die or not - I could not easily stop reading once I started tho.

I really really like the storyline, all the relationships, life, death, dramas in a book. Omg it is amazing and what makes it more interesting to me is the time lapse, it goes between past and present. However, it is easy to understand. I was not confused and it managed to gain my full attention.

I would give 4.5/5 for this novel. Totally recommended.
Kudos to Dr. Beni.

Till then.

After a long hiatus.

Hello peeps.

Long time no see huh.

Just a bit update of my life. Well I have finished my 4 years degree at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idrs (UPSI) last July and will  officially graduate upcoming November, InshaAllah - I cannot tell how excited I am! So I have got time to blog again, I guess.

Anyways, good newsssss I will graduate with first class degree in Software Engineering. Alhamdulillah. Such a big present for my parents, I guess.

Also, I finished my 6 months unpaid internship as a system developer. Yes it was unpaid. But it was really great, I could not thank enough for all the opportunities and experiences. I have learned a lot. Well maybe I can tell more about my internship life on another post.

And I will continue my studies in master degree by research soon and I am currently in the middle of research grant applications, with one of the applications under review for a project which I really want to work on. I know that sounds exhausting, And it is - doing all the proposals, literature reviews and stuff.

Now, there is one project ongoing funded by UPSI called Knowledge Transfer Program. To be honest, I have never expected to being able to work on my own project. I choose to develop or create an Electronic STEM Kit for 6 years old that I have to do research a bit, plan the lesson, create the kit, go site visit and host the program - yeah I kinda have to teach the teachers and the kids. It sounds interesting to me. If you want to know more about the program or the kit, do tell and I will tell you about it on another post.

I am looking forward to having another opportunity for growth and I am anxious and excited thinking about what the future holds for me.

All the best to everyone who still attempting to finish their studies or internship. Good luck!

Till then.
